Hello to all antiracist football supporters,
Welcome to Hamburg, in St. Pauli and at our 6th Antiracist Invitation Tournament 2010. We would like to thank you very much for your registration and for coming here during the last weeks of your football season. It is great to see you sharing the same idea with us about the importance of a big antiracist network in our football community. After one year break in Hamburg and a well organised and funny Alerta-tournament in Liège/Belgium in between, we are now back on the training ground of FC St. Pauli.
Europe is going more and more into the direction of the far right, police and state oppression against left wing activists are getting stronger and an antifascist movement is not welcome by many clubs, football associations or states. We would like to use the tournament to improve our network, to talk about the situations in different parts of our home areas and to not forget the past.
That is why we put a framework programme together for you, that should enable us to deepen our discussions and our knowledge in the field so that we can organise better actions to tackle discrimination in our stands and at our club.
Enclosed in this small brochure you will find more information on our AntiRa weekend, including the rough football schedule and the framework programme with lectures, guided city tours and a talk to a contemporary witness as well as some more useful information. Please don´t forget, that the whole tournament is non-commercial and everybody is working for free. So, please help us to prevent garbage or damages!
Selling of food and drinks will finance the costs and help the poorer teams to support them with their travel costs. The tournament takes place on the official training ground of FC St. Pauli. So, please keep the property tidy. The first football team will come to train there again already on Monday after the tournament. That is why the site has to be clean also during the tournament. Please put your tents up on designated areas only.
Due to troubles that we had at past tournaments: if you want us to be able to use this training ground for our tournament again in the future:
Please DON’T use Stickers, Graffiti or pyrotechnics/firework on the training ground and the surroundings! And please respect the neighbours!!!
Nevertheless, we hope of course, that you will all enjoy the weekend and we’re looking forward to talking and celebrating with you as much as possible!
Visitors are welcome!
Football fans united against discrimination and racism!
